FILM REVIEW: John And The Hole

It’s been a while since I have allowed myself the time and luxury of going down a rabbit hole of a movie. But I gave in this weekend and watched “John and the Hole”. A rabbit hole. Director Pascual Sisto did such an amazing job with this film I decided to add it to my list of short reviews. So if you decide to watch you’d better have some time and peace to watch this flick. Even watching the trailer I could tell what I was in for. Another quiet creepy film with a quiet creepy tennage boy. A 13 year old who traps his family in a bunker. The entire movie kept me pulled in all the way to the end. Seemingly simple enough to understand until a secondary time-line pops up out of nowhere, leaving the audience to wonder “What was THAT all about”? The ending is not the most disappointing as I did not feel like I had just wasted two hours of my life. I give this film four stars for high intensity momentum, superior quality screen captures, and decent actors. The ending could have gone either way, which is why I didn’t give a full five.

Please give a watch, comment below and let me know what you thought was going to happen in the end.
